„CLEAN LABEL“ MEAT PRODUCTS – HOW TO GAIN CONSUMER CONFIDENCE?

open access: yesZbornik radova / XXVII savetovanje o biotehnologiji sa međunarodnim učešćem, 2022
There is no common and objective definition of clean label food. „Clean label’’ trend has influence the food industry to reveal on clearly way and with simply understanding show presence or absence a certain ingredient or additive, if the food produced by a „eco-friendly” approach.

Microstructural Evolution and Vacancy Defect Formation in Mn–Mo–Ni RPV Steel Under Low Cycle Fatigue: Insights From EBSD and PALS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Micropatterned Biphasic Printed Electrodes for High‐Fidelity on‐Skin Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Micropatterned biphasic printed electrodes achieve unprecedented skin conformity and low impedance by combining liquid‐metal droplets with microstructured 3D lattices. This scalable approach enables high‐fidelity detection of ECG, EMG, and EEG signals, including alpha rhythms from the forehead, with long‐term comfort and stability.

Gas sensor array to classify the chicken meat with E. coli contaminant by using random forest and support vector machine

open access: yesBiosensors and Bioelectronics: X, 2021
Microbes such as Escherichia coli (E. coli) can easily contaminate raw chicken meat in clean conditions, causing decay and unpleasant scents. This study aims to characterize gas patterns by comparing fresh chicken meat and E.

The to-do list for ‘clean’ meat [PDF]

open access: yesC&EN Global Enterprise, 2018
A little over five years ago, Mark Post, a professor of vascular physiology at Maastricht University, garnered worldwide headlines for his research project. It was a single hamburger, made in his laboratory. The burger was not juicy—it was made with only muscle cells and thus no fat—and was definitely not a bargain.

Biodegradable and Recyclable Luminescent Mixed‐Matrix‐Membranes, Hydrogels, and Cryogels based on Nanoscale Metal‐Organic Frameworks and Biopolymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...
