Dynamics of T Cell Receptor Distributions Following Acute Thymic Atrophy and Resumption [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Naive human T cells are produced in the thymus, which atrophies abruptly and severely in response to physical or psychological stress. To understand how an instance of stress affects the size and "diversity" of the peripheral naive T cell pool, we derive a mean-field autonomous ODE model of T cell replenishment that allows us to track the clone ...

cDNA cloning and characterization of three genes uniquely expressed in cerebellum by Purkinje neurons

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience, 1988
The characteristics that distinguish the different neuronal cell types of an organism are believed to be primarily determined by unique patterns of cellular gene expression.

Stereotyped Subclones Revealed by High‐Density Single‐Cell Lineage Tracing Support Robust Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on a well‐established in vitro directed differentiation model and an integrated analysis of high‐density cell lineage trees (CLTs) and single‐cell transcriptomes, it is demonstrated that many subclones are formed by sub‐CLTs resembling each other in terms of both cell type compositions and topological structures.

Apoptotic Vesicles Derived from Mesenchymal Stem Cells Ameliorate Hypersensitivity Responses via Inducing CD8+ T Cells Apoptosis with Calcium Overload and Mitochondrial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The therapeutic potential of ApoVs derived from stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED‐ApoVs) in the treatment of CD8+ T cell‐mediated hypersensitivity reactions is noteworthy. SHED‐ApoVs are capable of fusing with the plasma membrane of CD8+ T cells, which subsequently triggers a series of events characterized by calcium overload ...

On the remote interaction of biological objects with identical genetic structures [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2002
The paper puts forward an unusual prediction that cultivating a clone can curtail the lifespan of the clone donor. Neither the arrangement of this suggested empirical study nor the analyses of the anticipated outcomes rely on the accompanying theoretical contemplations. This prediction has come from the interpretation of the genome as a "barcode".

Establishment of pluripotent cell lines from vertebrate species - Present status and future prospects [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Pluripotent embryonic stem (ES) cells are undifferentiated cell lines derived from early embryos and are capable of unlimited undifferentiated proliferation in vitro.

Malignant Hepatoblast‐Like Cells Sustain Stemness via IGF2‐Dependent Cholesterol Accumulation in Hepatoblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hepatoblastoma, an aggressive childhood liver tumor, origins from malignant hepatoblast‐like cells. Single‐cell analysis reveals IGF2‐driven pathways promoting malignancy. Targeting these pathways offers promising treatments, with serum IGF2 as a potential diagnostic biomarker.

ClonEval: An Open Voice Cloning Benchmark [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We present a novel benchmark for voice cloning text-to-speech models. The benchmark consists of an evaluation protocol, an open-source library for assessing the performance of voice cloning models, and an accompanying leaderboard. The paper discusses design considerations and presents a detailed description of the evaluation procedure. The usage of the
