Clopidogrel Response Variability, Resistance, or Both?
The American Journal of Cardiology, 2006Dual antiplatelet therapy represents an important advance for patients with established cardiovascular disease. Variable platelet response and potential resistance to therapy have emerged with aspirin and clopidogrel. There is no clear and accepted definition of clopidogrel resistance, but patients with lower responses to clopidogrel are at risk for ...

Promising clopidogrel analogs may overcome clopidogrel resistance: 2025 update
Biochemical PharmacologyClopidogrel is one of the World Health Organization-recommended essential medicines used for antiplatelet therapy. However, its usage is limited by resistance of certain patients to clopidogrel. Herein, we systematically summarized promising novel analogs of clopidogrel and evaluated their preclinical and clinical properties as well as the science ...

[Variable extent of platelet responsiveness to clopidogrel inhibition: "clopidogrel resistance"?].
Annales de cardiologie et d'angeiologie, 2005During percutaneous coronary angioplasty, platelet inhibition by clopidogrel and aspirin has drastically decreased the risk of thrombotic occlusion of the stented vessels. However, despite the widespread use of these drugs, the incidence of acute or subacute stent thrombosis remains elevated, concerning 1 to 2% of the treated patients.
