ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Esterase and Clotting Activity Derived From Purified Prothrombin
Purified prothrombin can be activated in several ways to obtain biothrombin. This thrombin possesses the properties of activating fibrinogen, catalyzing the activation of prothrombin, neuralizing antithrombin, dissolving fibrin clots and has esterase ...

PROTEOLYTIC AND MILK CLOTTING ACTIVITY OF FRACTIONATED PROTEIN OF CITRULLUS LANATUS [PDF]
Objective: The objective of the present investigation was to evaluate milk clotting activity as well as proteolytic activity of protein fractions of seeds of Citrullus lanatus. Methods: Storage proteins were extracted by differential solubility, and their

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.

An investigation into the effects of plasma lipids on blood clotting activity in laying hens [PDF]
The lack of understanding the mechanism that causes liver hemorrhages has been an obstacle in reducing the incidence of Fatty Liver Hemorrhagic Syndrome (FLHS).

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in
