Co-amorphous supersaturated drug delivery systems are emerging as an alternative strategy to improve the water solubility of BCS II drugs. Typically, the supersaturation and stability of co-amorphous systems largely depend on the type of employed co-former.

Dipeptides as co-formers in co-amorphous systems
European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics, 2019Drug-amino acid co-amorphous systems have become increasingly well-investigated systems to improve dissolution rate of poorly water-soluble drugs. In this study, dipeptides were investigated as co-formers for co-amorphous systems based on the hypothesis that dipeptides might combine the inherent properties of the two included amino acids.

Silicide formation in Co/amorphous Si multilayers
Journal of Applied Physics, 1994We studied interfacial reactions in Co/amorphous Si(a-Si) multilayers by transmission electron microscopy. We found that an intermixed layer of amorphous cobalt silicide formed in the as-deposited state. To explain the solid-state amorphization reaction, two parameters were used.

Sm–Co Amorphous Film with Perpendicular Anisotropy
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1983It is very difficult to prepare Sm–Co ferromagnetic film with perpendicular anisotropy, though RE–TM ferrimagnetic films with perpendicular anisotropy are well prepared (RE: rare earth, TM: transition metal). Because of the exceptional magnetic properties of Sm–Co magnetic film as magnetic recording media, we studied to prepare Sm–Co magnetic film ...

Magnetic anisotropy of Tb-Co amorphous films
Physics of the Solid State, 2011A systematic investigation of the magnetic properties of Tb-Co amorphous films prepared using radio-frequency ion sputtering in a uniform magnetic field has been carried out. The main regularities of the change in the magnetic anisotropy parameters as a function of the composition (8–43 at % Tb), measurement temperature (5–350 K), and annealing ...

Aspartame as a co-former in co-amorphous systems
International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2018Co-amorphous drug delivery systems are a promising approach to improve the dissolution rate and therefore potentially the oral bioavailability of poorly-water soluble drugs. Several low molecular weight excipients, for instance amino acids, have previously been shown to stabilize the amorphous form and increase the dissolution rate of drugs.

Co-Amorphous Telmisartan-Pimelic Acid with Improved Solubility
Materials Science Forum, 2020Telmisartan (TEL), a type of antihypertensive drug, has poor solubility. To improve its solubility, the co-amorphous telmisartan with pimelic acid (PA) in molar ratio of 1:1 and 2:1, respectively, were obtained using a liquid-assisted grinding method.

Stability of Co-amorphous Solid Dispersions: Physical and Chemical Aspects
Журнал структурной химии, 2023Drug amorphization is one of the major approaches in pharmaceutical sciences to improve the solubility and dissolution rate of poorly water-soluble drugs. Amorphous solid dispersions are widely discussed approach to convert the drug into an amorphous state but due to its high energy state, the system tends to recrystallize upon storage.

The formation of co-amorphous and co-crystal systems are attractive formulation strategies for poorly water-soluble drugs. Intermolecular interactions between the drug and the coformer(s) play an important role in the formation of both systems, making the investigation of transformations between the two systems specifically interesting. The aim of this

Spontaneous Spin Reorientation in Gd–Co Amorphous Films
Physics of Metals and Metallography, 2019The phenomenon of spontaneous spin reorientation in Gd–Сo amorphous films, which results from the competition between the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy and shape anisotropy, is studied. It is shown that the reorientation occurs via the formation of a fine-grained nonuniform magnetic structure called hypercritical state in a wide temperature range ...
