Increase of Bioavailability of Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamin E [PDF]
Commercial coenzyme Q(10) (CoQ(10)) and alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E) formulations often show poor intestinal absorption. Delivery of CoQ(10) and vitamin E was enhanced when used with a new formulation, NanoSolve (Lipoid GmbH, Ludwigshafen, Germany), as shown by an open, comparative monocenter, crossover study of 24 volunteers.

Allosteric Regulation Alters Carrier Domain Translocation in Pyruvate Carboxylase [PDF]
Pyruvate carboxylase (PC) catalyzes the ATP-dependent carboxylation of pyruvate to oxaloacetate. The reaction occurs in two separate catalytic domains, coupled by the long-range translocation of a biotinylated carrier domain (BCCP). Here, we use a series

Mitochondrial Dysfunctions in Human Primary Coenzyme Q10 Deficiencies
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is an essential lipid-soluble molecule that plays a central role in mitochondrial energy production as a mobile electron carrier. In addition to its bioenergetic function, CoQ10 participates in antioxidant defense, redox homeostasis,

HPLC estimation of coenzyme Q10 redox status in plasma after intravenous coenzyme Q10 administration [PDF]
The pharmacokinetics of the total pool of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), its oxidized (ubiquinone) and reduced (ubiquinol, CoQ10H2) forms have been investigated in rats plasma during 48 h after a single intravenous injection of a solution of solubilized CoQ10 (10 mg/kg) to rats.

This study firstly isolated a tuna‐derived gut probiotic Acinetobacter seifertii YFT067. Dietary administration of YFT067 played significant roles in promoting growth performance, SCFAs production, lipid absorption, and metabolism of the host, indicating YFT067 as a promising probiotic candidate for enhancing tuna aquaculture productivity through ...
