[Coffee hulls and pulp. XII. Effect of storage of coffee pulp on its nutritive value for calves].
Coffee pulp, dehydrated and stored for 7, 13 and 17 months or ensiled for 4, 10 and 14 months, was studied in calves with a rapid growing rate. Storage of dehydrated coffee pulp did not affect its chemical composition, but ensiling reduced crude fiber and increased its nitrogen free extract content after 10 and 14 months.

Abstract Melt migration in partially molten rocks is commonly described by porous flow models controlled by the hydro‐mechanical compaction length, which effectively explains melt extraction at mid‐ocean ridges. However, this framework cannot account for the paradoxical accumulation of small melt fractions into rhythmic leucosome–melanosome bands in ...

ABSTRACT The present study aimed to evaluate the quality and nutritional properties of guava slices dried in a greenhouse solar dryer (operated under mixed and direct modes) and an electric stove at 50°C. The results showed that mixed‐mode solar drying resulted in greater retention of vitamin C (112.60 mg/100 g), carotenoids (0.37 mg/g), and ...
