Self‐Sustaining Lactate Depletion Nanoplatform Remodels Tumor Microenvironment and Augments Synergistic Photodynamic/Photothermal/Chemodynamic/Starvation Therapy for Eradication of Colon Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The HILA nanoplatform integrates HMnO2, LOX, and ICG to orchestrate multimodal therapy (starvation, chemodynamic, photodynamic, and photothermal) for achieving efficient colon cancer eradication. The established HMnO2‐LOX catalytic cycle continuously consumes lactate, acidifys microenvironment, relieves hypoxia, and generats reactive oxygen species ...

ANXA2+ Small Extracellular Vesicles Drive Chemoresistance in Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer by Promoting XRCC5 Lactylation and Enhancing Non‐Homologous End‐Joining Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ANXA2+ sEVs promote cisplatin resistance in ATC by stabilizing the SRC/LDHA interaction, increasing LDHA phosphorylation and activity, and lactate production. Elevated lactate levels promote KAT5‐mediated lactylation of XRCC5 at lysine 265, enhancing its binding to XRCC6.

Effect of sex differences on the emergence of ctDNA RAS mutations in RAS wild-type colorectal cancer

open access: yesScientific Reports
In some cases of RAS wild-type metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC), mutant RAS may emerge during chemotherapy. This study aimed to identify the clinicopathological factors associated with the emergence of RAS mutations during treatment.

Psychological Stress Associated Bile Acid Reprogramming Promotes Hepatocellular Carcinoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Depression is increasingly recognized as a risk factor for chronic diseases, yet its biological impact on cancer remains unclear. Using data from more than 490 000 participants across three international cohorts, we show that depression significantly increases the risk of liver cancer.

A preoperative MRI pelvic multiparameter nomogram for predicting sphincter preservation and operative difficulty in laparoscopic total mesorectal excision for ultra-low rectal cancer

open access: yesBMC Surgery
Background Sphincter preservation (SP) during laparoscopic total mesorectal excision (LaTME) for low rectal cancer is challenged by a deep, narrow pelvis. Robust, MRI-based predictors for both SP success and operative difficulty are lacking.

Cobalt Single‐Atom Nanozyme for Enhanced Intestinal Radioprotection and Tumor Radiosensitization via Bidirectional ROS Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Orally administered, pH‐responsive Co‐SAN exerts dual functions: in the alkaline intestinal milieu, it scavenges reactive oxygen species (ROS) and suppresses the PI3K/AKT pathway and NETs formation, thus providing radioprotection; whereas in the acidic tumor microenvironment, it generates ROS and alleviates hypoxia, thereby enhancing radiosensitization.

CALB2 is a Mechanoresistance Gene in Metastatic Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Prostate cancer cell lines of differing origins were cultured over many passages while being subjected to semi‐lethal levels of fluid shear stress, representing the harsh mechanical environment these cells are subjected to in the circulation during the process of distant metastasis.

Cell‐Selective Delivery of RIBOTACs via an Anti‐EGFR Nanobody for Pancreatic Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces an innovative strategy for the tumor‐selective catalytic degradation of oncogenic non‐coding RNA by interfacing a ribonuclease‐recruiting small molecule (RIBOTAC) with an EGFR‐targeting nanobody via a CTSB (Cathepsin B)‐responsive linker.
