Sperm DNA damage output parameters measured by the alkaline Comet assay and their importance
The alkaline Comet assay has shown high diagnostic value to determine male reproductive health and prognostic ability to predict ART success. Here, spermatozoon was analysed in 47 fertile donors and 238 patients, including 132 couples undergoing ART ...

Genomic instability in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus on hemodialysis
OBJECTIVE: A previous study by our research group evaluated the levels of DNA damage using the comet assay in hemodialysis patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The same blood samples were also evaluated using the cytochalasin B micronucleus assay.

DNA damage in buccal cells in oral PMDs and malignant disorders by comet assay
Aim: DNA damage associated with Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (OSCC) and potentially malignant disorders (PMDs) is produced due to carcinogenic agents or increased oxidative stress. Comet assay can assist in early detection and evaluation of the amount of

In bulk carbonic acid (e.g., in interstellar icy dust grains) cluster formation produces two distinct UV‐Vis spectral features redshifted by ≈2 eV (25 nm) and by ≈5 eV (80 nm) compared to gas phase single molecule carbonic acid 's adiabatic ionization energy. Theory and experiment were used to investigate the origin of these shifts.

The study provides information about the impact of physiological gastric conditions on the unbeneficial occurrence of nitrosamine drug substance–related impurities (NDSRIs). Both main factors for nitrosation in the form of acidic conditions and the presence of nitrite were adequately chosen for triggering the conversion of drug compounds into NDSRIs ...
