Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

Accurate and noninvasive prostate cancer detection using plasma‐derived extracellular vesicle RNA

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Plasma extracellular vesicles were captured with WGA‐conjugated magnetic beads and profiled for RNA biomarkers. A three‐RNA panel (NM_024955, NR_047469, and NR_002564) distinguished prostate cancer from healthy controls and benign prostatic hyperplasia, supporting a simple, noninvasive approach to improve prostate cancer detection.

Screening of Stb leaf blotch resistance genes of the common wheat varieties

open access: yesЗерновое хозяйство России, 2023
Currently, leaf blotch is one of the main problems in wheat production around the world. The use of DNA markers for screening a large amount of breeding material makes it possible to identify wheat leaf blotch resistance genes quickly and accurately.

TaDA1, a conserved negative regulator of kernel size, has an additive effect with TaGW2 in common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, 2019
Summary Kernel size is an important trait determining cereal yields. In this study, we cloned and characterized TaDA1, a conserved negative regulator of kernel size in wheat (Triticum aestivum).

Trichostatin A and sodium butyrate promotes plant regeneration in common wheat

open access: yesPlant Signalling & Behavior, 2020
Histone acetylation modification plays a vital role in plant cell division and differentiation. However, the function on wheat mature embryo culture has not been reported.

The analysis of meiosis of the B genome in common wheat

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Genetics and Cytology, 1985
Two intervarietal hybrids of common wheat, Triticum aestivum L., are meiotically analyzed using the C-banding staining method. The C-banding pattern of nine meiotic chromosomes (4A, 7A, and the seven of the B genome) permitted their unequivocal recognition at first metaphase plates.

Peripheral Neutrophil Activation and Extracellular Trap Formation in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
Markers of neutrophil activation are increased in plasma during ALS, and markers of NET formation associate with ALS survival. ABSTRACT Objectives Peripheral neutrophil levels in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) inversely correlate with survival, suggesting a role for neutrophils in disease progression.

Comparison of low molecular weight glutenin subunits identified by SDS-PAGE, 2-DE, MALDI-TOF-MS and PCR in common wheat [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Low-molecular-weight glutenin subunits (LMW-GS) play a crucial role in determining end-use quality of common wheat by influencing the viscoelastic properties of dough.

Microenvironmental Reprogramming by 3D Anisotropic Cardiac Extracellular Matrix Induces Nuclear Remodeling and Epigenetic Maturation of Chemically Induced Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.
