The effects of NETs on regeneration of various diabetic tissues, and strategies targeting NETs for diabetes tissue regeneration. In the diabetic environment, NETs undergo complex metabolic and immune reprogramming, leading to dynamic changes in antibacterial and proinflammatory functions, and affecting regeneration of multiple systemic tissues.

Novel C1q receptor-mediated signaling controls neural stem cell behavior and neurorepair
C1q plays a key role as a recognition molecule in the immune system, driving autocatalytic complement cascade activation and acting as an opsonin. We have previously reported a non-immune role of complement C1q modulating the migration and fate of human ...

Complement C1q formation of immune complexes with milk caseins and wheat glutens in schizophrenia
Immune system factors including complement pathway activation are increasingly linked to the etiology and pathophysiology of schizophrenia. Complement protein, C1q, binds to and helps to clear immune complexes composed of immunoglobulins coupled to ...

Adolescent social isolation disrupts hippocampal function and exacerbates emotional symptoms, with sex‐specific patterns, as shown by human studies. In mice, social isolation decreased hippocampal synaptic density and calcium signaling, upregulated complement proteins, and activated complement‐mediated microglial synaptic phagocytosis.

Complement activation is implicated in Huntington's disease; ANX005 is a potent inhibitor of component C1q. ANX005 exhibited a generally manageable safety profile with rapid reduction in C1q in the cerebrospinal fluid. Functional ability on composite Unified Huntington's Disease Rating Scale and total functional capacity was maintained, with potential ...

Cellular Mechanism and Key Insights in Allergen Immunotherapy for Allergic Rhinitis
ABSTRACT Allergic rhinitis (AR) arises from immune responses mediated by immunoglobulin E (IgE) to inhaled allergens, representing one of the most prevalent chronic conditions worldwide. Although AR may not be a serious ailment, it holds clinical relevance as it underpins numerous complications, serves as a major risk factor for suboptimal asthma ...
