Introduction. Chronic hepatitis B (CHB) is still a public health problem and its mechanism remains unclear. In this study, we detect the skewness of T cell receptor beta chain variable gene (TCR Vβ) in peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBL) and the liver ...

We have previously shown that the sequence of the immunoglobulin diversity gene segment (DH) helps dictate the structure and composition of complementarity determining region 3 of the immunoglobulin heavy chain (CDR-H3).

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Antibody Repertoire Development in Fetal and Neonatal Piglets. II. Characterization of Heavy Chain Complementarity-Determining Region 3 Diversity in the Developing Fetus [PDF]
Abstract Since the actual combinatorial diversity in the VH repertoire in fetal piglets represents <1% of the potential in mice and humans, we wondered whether 1) complementarity-determining region 3 (CDR3) diversity was also restricted; 2) CDR3 diversity changed with fetal age; and 3) to what extent CDR3 contributed to the ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

In Silico Prediction Analysis of Idiotope-Driven T–B Cell Collaboration in Multiple Sclerosis
Memory B cells acting as antigen-presenting cells are believed to be important in multiple sclerosis (MS), but the antigen they present remains unknown.

Objectives: T cell receptor (TCR) variable regions and complementarity determining regions 3 (CDR3) of infiltrating T cells in the livers of patients with chronic hepatitis B were examined in detail. Methods: TCR usage was examined by the inverse polymerase chain reaction in 2 hepatitis B e antigen-positive ...

Direct Recognition of Foreign MHC Determinants by Naive T Cells Mobilizes Specific Vβ Families Without Skewing of the Complementarity-Determining Region 3 Length Distribution [PDF]
Abstract The capacity of T cells to interact with nonself-APC, also referred to as direct allorecognition, is an essential feature of the cellular response involved in graft rejection. However, there is no study on TCR repertoire biases associated with direct restricted T cell activation. In this paper, we have addressed the impact of

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...
