Case Report: Prenatal imaging and genetic integrated diagnosis of SCN2A encephalopathy—a case of cryptical cortical dysplasia caused by a loss-of-function frameshift genetic variant

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience
ObjectiveSCN2A mutations are linked to postnatal epileptic encephalopathies, but prenatal features are poorly defined. We describe a novel SCN2A frameshift mutations prenatal phenotype and genotype–phenotype correlations.Case reportA fetus with ...

A Multi‐Scale Computational Framework for Evaluating Wireless Neuromodulation Feasibility via Magnetoelectric Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multiscale computational framework links single‐nanoparticle magnetoelectric behavior to tissue‐level electric field distributions, integrating experimental data from nanoparticle characterization and in vitro stimulation setups. Applied to a cortical slice configuration, the framework predicts optimal MENP concentrations and stimulation parameters ...

TNAP and PHOSPHO1 Function Synergistically to Afford Critical Control Over the Mineralization of the Postnatal Murine Skeleton

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Biomineralization underpins skeletal development, yet its molecular control remains incompletely understood. Using a novel murine knockout model, this study reveals the essential and complementary roles of PHOSPHO1 and TNAP in postnatal skeletal development.

Self‐Sustaining Sensing Systems: Integration Strategies and Signal–Power Matching in Energy‐Harvesting Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Energy‐harvesting‐integrated sensors couple ambient energy conversion with sensing, processing, and wireless communication. This review organizes recent progress through integration architectures and operating principles, revisiting co‐packaged, monolithic, and co‐functional designs together with always‐on, event‐driven, and multi‐modal sensing modes ...

Architecture and cellular composition of focal cortical dysplasia type II: qualitative review of histological studies

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular Neuroscience
Focal cortical dysplasia (FCD) is a malformation of cortical development strongly associated with drug-resistant epilepsy, particularly in children but also observed in adults. FCD type II is specifically characterised by cortical disorganisation and the

Plant Metabolites Screening Identifies 7‐epi‐10‐Deacetyltaxol Inhibiting Cell Division by Interfering With the Cell Cycle and Microtubule Organization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, an efficient screening system is developed for plant metabolites to find a compound, 7‐epi‐10‐deacetyltaxol, inhibits tissue elongation. It suppresses plant growth through brassinosteroid and microtubule pathways. It is later applied to animal cells and human tumor organoids, resulting in similar cell division suppression. These findings

STING/Type I Interferon Pathway Activation Confers Multimodal Therapeutic Benefits in Osteomyelitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
STING/type I interferon signaling counteracts osteomyelitis through coordinated control of pain, bone destruction, and abscess formation. It inhibits pathogen‐induced nociceptor activation, restrains osteoclast‐mediated bone resorption, and suppresses IL‐1β‐driven neutrophil recruitment.
