Cosmological parameters from SDSS and WMAP [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We measure cosmological parameters using the three-dimensional power spectrum P(k) from over 200,000 galaxies in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) in combination with WMAP and other data.

The Cosmological Constant and Dark Energy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Physics invites the idea that space contains energy whose gravitational effect approximates that of Einstein's cosmological constant, Lambda: nowadays the concept is termed dark energy or quintessence.

COSMOLOGICAL ZITTERBEWEGUNG [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2013
We describe a new phenomenon of zitterbewegung of a free Dirac particle in cosmological spacetimes. Unlike the similar effect theorized by Schrödinger in 1930, the cosmological zitterbewegung is a real, physically attainable effect, which originates from the mixing of positive and negative frequency modes of a field operator in cosmological spacetimes.

Baryogenesis at a lepton-number-breaking phase transition

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We study a scenario in which the baryon asymmetry of the universe arises from a cosmological phase transition where lepton-number is spontaneously broken.

Cosmological parameters from CMB and other data: A Monte Carlo approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We present a fast Markov chain Monte Carlo exploration of cosmological parameter space. We perform a joint analysis of results from recent cosmic microwave background ~CMB!

simba: Cosmological simulations with black hole growth and feedback [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2019
We introduce the Simba simulations, the next generation of the Mufasa cosmological galaxy formation simulations run with Gizmo's meshless finite mass hydrodynamics.

Modular cosmology

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1995
An exploratory study of the cosmology of moduli in string theory. Moduli are argued to be natural inflaton fields and lead to a robust inflationary cosmology in which inflation takes place at the top of domain walls. The amplitude of microwave background fluctuations constrains the dynamics responsible for inflation to take place at a higher scale than

DECOHERENCE IN QUANTUM COSMOLOGY AND THE COSMOLOGICAL CONSTANT [PDF]

open access: yesModern Physics Letters A, 2013
We discuss a spacetime having the topology of S3×ℝ but with a different smoothness structure. The initial state of the cosmos in our model is identified with a wildly embedded 3-sphere (or a fractal space). In previous work we showed that a wild embedding is obtained by a quantization of a usual (or tame) embedding.

Coherent elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering at the European Spallation Source

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
The European Spallation Source (ESS), presently well on its way to completion, will soon provide the most intense neutron beams for multi-disciplinary science.
