Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Creep: time‐dependent brittle deformation in rocks
The characterization of time‐dependent brittle rock deformation is fundamental to understanding the long‐term evolution and dynamics of the Earth’s crust. The chemical influence of pore water promotes time‐dependent deformation through stress corrosion

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Experimental study of creep properties of silty mudstone under triaxial compression
:In order to reveal the creep properties of silty mudstone in Badong Formation strata in the Three Gorges area, the creep test of saturated silty mudstone under triaxial compression was carried out on the RLJW-2000 rock microcomputer-controlled rheology ...

Study on creep characteristics of fractured rock masses in caved zones with different roof strengths
Objective The caved zone in goaf areas is filled with fractured rock masses, and the strength of these fractured rock masses after collapse serves as a key factor causing differential long-term creep characteristics of the goaf.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.
