Ladder‐Like Structural Architecture of Layered Magnetic A2.4 Cr8Te14 (A = Rb, Cs) Compounds by Self‐Flux Synthesis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 24, 23 June 2026.
A2.4Cr8Te14$A_{2.4}{\rm Cr}_{8}{\rm Te}_{14}$ (A = Rb, Cs) compounds exhibit a layered, ladder‐like Cr‐Te framework uniting structural motives of hollandite‐like and delafossite‐like phases. Alkali atoms are situated both in the interlayer space and tunnels within the Cr8Te14${\rm Cr}_{8}{\rm Te}_{14}$ framework.

Synthesis of 2-aminosuberic acid derivatives as components of some histone deacetylase inhibiting cyclic tetrapeptides

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2017
A new synthesis of the important amino acid 2-aminosuberic acid from aspartic acid is reported. The methodology involves the alternate preparation of (S)-2-aminohept-6-enoate ester as a building block and its diversification through a cross-metathesis ...

Synthesis of 2‐Aza‐Bicyclo[4.3.0]nonane Derivatives Related to the Camporidines via Intramolecular [3+2]‐Cycloaddition

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 24, 23 June 2026.
The intramolecular nitrile oxide olefin [3 + 2]‐cycloaddition offers a reliable entry toward 2‐aza‐bicyclo[4.3.0]‐nonanes, a substructure found in several bioactive piperidine alkaloids. The required oxime precursors were prepared in non‐racemic form by Ir‐catalyzed asymmetric allylation and ring‐closing metathesis.

From [NHC─H]• to Persistent σ‐Complex Radicals: Photoinduced Radical Chemistry of Imidazolium Salts

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 24, 8 June 2026.
Visible‐light excitation of electron donor–acceptor (EDA) complexes between imidazolium salts and triarylamines enables controlled single‐electron transfer (SET) and reveals a family of carbene‐centered σ‐complex radical cations. Cryogenic electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) captures the elusive [NHC─H]• intermediate and its thermal evolution into ...

1,1‐and 1,2‐Diborylalkenes: Preparation and Synthetic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 12, 17 June 2026.
In this review, we highlight recent advances in the synthesis and reactivity of 1,1‐diborylalkenes and 1,2‐diborylalkenes, along with various transformations leading to C‐C, C‐heteroatom, and multicomponent products. By providing a comprehensive and practical resource, this review aims to assist researchers in exploring the synthetic utility of 1,1 and

Mild N‑Arylation of Sulfoximines With (Hetero)aryl Chlorides Enabled by α‐Methylnaphthyl‐tBuBrettPhos Palladium Triflate

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 23, 16 June 2026.
A readily accessible, air‐ and moisture‐stable palladium precatalyst, [Pd(1‐MeNAP)(tBuBrettPhos)]OTf, enables the direct N‐arylation of NH‐sulfoximines with (hetero)aryl chlorides under exceptionally mild conditions ideal for late‐stage diversification of drug‐like scaffolds.

A novel reprocessable chloroprene rubber based on dynamic disulfide metathesis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Smart and Nano Materials
For sustainable application of chloroprene rubber (CR), a new technology is developed by the vulcanization of CR using 2,2’-dithiodipyridine (DPD) as a cross-linking agent with the reprocessing performance owing to disulfide metathesis.

Gallium‐Catalyzed Tandem Carbonyl–Olefin Metathesis/Dehydrogenative Coupling Enables Rapid Access to Cyclopentenes

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 22, 9 June 2026.
A cationic gallium(III) catalyst enables rapid construction of substituted cyclopentenes via tandem carbonyl‐ene metathesis/Friedel–Crafts coupling. Electronic tuning of alcohol electrophiles allows access to diverse, densely functionalized rings in a single operation.
