Abstract We describe a 46-year-old male with Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and a previously known parenchymal medullary mass identified in 2022, initially managed with surveillance. In late 2023, he developed a progressive brainstem syndrome prompting presentation to our center.

Minimally invasive liquid biopsy analysis of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas [PDF]
The gold standard for the diagnosis of tumors are tissue biopsies. However, sometimes it is not feasible to obtain a tissue biopsy due to a high risk of complications or difficult anatomical localizations.

The potential of liquid biopsy for detection of the KIAA1549-BRAF fusion in circulating tumor DNA from children with pilocytic astrocytoma [PDF]
Background Low-grade gliomas (LGGs) represent children’s most prevalent central nervous system tumor, necessitating molecular profiling to diagnose and determine the most suitable treatment.

Clinical trial status of exosomes‐based cancer theranostics
Exosomes, are a subpopulation of extracellular vesicles, that originate from endosomes. The major role of exosomes is cellular communication (in this process exosomes display the status of the parental cell's nature, healthy or the cell suffers any ...

Abstract BACKGROUND Brain metastases affect 30–40% of patients with solid tumors, and as systemic therapies improve survival, intracranial recurrences are more common. Radiation therapy is standard of care treatment but can frequently lead to radiation necrosis, which can mimic tumor ...

Abstract Background Atypical teratoid/rhabdoid (AT/RT) is an aggressive pediatric brain tumor, prevalent in children < 3 years(Y) of age; methylation profiles subclassify AT/RTs into AT/RT-MYC (MYC), AT/RT-SHH (SHH), and AT/RT-TYR (TYR). At the molecular level, AT/RT shows alterations in

Targeted multiplex validation of CSF proteomic biomarkers: implications for differentiation of PCNSL from tumor-free controls and other brain tumors [PDF]
IntroductionPrimary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is a rare type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma that affects brain parenchyma, eyes, cerebrospinal fluid, and spinal cord. Diagnosing PCNSL can be challenging because imaging studies often show similar
