Modulating catalytic activity of polymer‐based cuAAC “click” reactions

Journal of Polymer Science Part A: Polymer Chemistry, 2011
AbstractThe copper(I)‐catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction is used to synthesize complex polymer architectures. In this work, we demonstrate the control of this reaction at 25 °C between polystyrene (PSTY) chains through modulating the catalytic activity by varying the combinations of copper source (i.e., Cu(I)Br or copper wire ...

Extent of the Oxidative Side Reactions to Peptides and Proteins During the CuAAC Reaction

Bioconjugate Chemistry, 2016
The copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction is a powerful tool for bioconjugation of biomolecules, particularly proteins and peptides. The major drawback limiting the use of the CuAAC reaction in biological systems is the copper-mediated formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), leading to the oxidative degradation of proteins or

Simultaneous Photoinduced ATRP and CuAAC Reactions for the Synthesis of Block Copolymers

Macromolecular Rapid Communications, 2014
Atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and copper‐catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reactions, both utilizing copper(I) (Cu(I)) complexes, make a tremendous progress in synthetic polymer chemistry. Independently or in combination with other polymerization processes, they give access to the synthesis of polymers with well‐defined ...

Diversity‐Oriented Syntheses by Combining CuAAC and Stereoselective INCIC Reactions with Peptides

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2017
AbstractCascade reactions proceeding through peptide‐derived N‐carbamoyl iminium ions are reported. Two new reactions of N‐carbamoyl iminium ions are described, including a stereoselective double cyclization generating N,N′‐aminals and an acid‐promoted auto‐oxidation.

Effects of a Flexible Alkyl Chain on a Ligand for CuAAC Reaction

Organic Letters, 2010
Imidazole derivatives substituted by a normal alkyl group are shown to be efficient as a ligand for the copper(Ι)-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reaction. An alkyl chain on the imidazole ligands shows an efficient steric effect and benefits the reaction.
