Dose dependent killing of S. pyogenes killing by CXCL9 and the SpeB generated fragment.

open access: yes, 2013
The purified 18–73 SpeB generated CXCL9 fragment was compared to the intact CXCL9 for killing of S. pyogenes strain AP1. Curves represent mean bacterial killing in percent with standard error determined from at least three independent experiments. Inset:

Tumor‐Intrinsic ARHGEF3 Enhances Antitumor Immunity by Promoting T‐Cell Infiltration and Limiting Myeloid Cell‐Mediated Immunosuppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ARHGEF3 is broadly downregulated across human cancers and correlates with patient prognosis. Tumor‐intrinsic ARHGEF3 activates the RHOA–ROCK–PTEN cascade to inhibit AKT signaling, thereby promoting chemokine‐driven T‐cell infiltration and relieving lipid‐mediated myeloid immunosuppression.

Interleukin-1β induces CXCR3-mediated chemotaxis to promote umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell transendothelial migration

open access: yesStem Cell Research & Therapy, 2018
Background Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are known to home to injured and inflamed regions via the bloodstream to assist in tissue regeneration in response to signals of cellular damage.

CXCL9 is trimmed amino-terminally and carboxy-terminally by SpeB.

open access: yes, 2013
Panel A: SpeB-processed CXCL9 was analyzed by MALDI-TOF mass spectroscopy. Masses in Dalton are indicated above the to main intensity peaks. Panel B: The primary sequence of mature CXCL9 with the proposed SpeB-generated fragment constituting amino acids ...

Engineering Microbial Particles for Next‐Generation Biomedical Platforms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microbe‐derived particles (MDPs), which include extracellular vesicles, outer membrane vesicles, inclusion bodies, polysaccharide particles, and virus‐like particles, represent a rapidly expanding category of bioinspired nanomaterials. With their natural origin, intrinsic biocompatibility, and highly programmable functionality, MDPs serve as a ...

Spinal CXCL9 and CXCL11 are not involved in neuropathic pain despite an upregulation in the spinal cord following spinal nerve injury

open access: yesMolecular Pain, 2018
Chemokines-mediated neuroinflammation in the spinal cord plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of neuropathic pain. Chemokine CXCL9, CXCL10, and CXCL11 have been identified as a same subfamily chemokine which bind to CXC chemokine receptor 3 to exert

Photodynamic Priming and Minocycline Overcome Chemoresistance by Reprogramming the Pancreatic Tumor Immune Microenvironment In Vivo

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dual priming with minocycline and photodynamic priming reprograms the pancreatic tumor microenvironment to overcome chemoresistance. By suppressing DNA repair enzyme Tdp1, inducing photooxidative damage, and enhancing irinotecan delivery via light‐activated nanoencapsulation, this strategy remodels the tumor microenvironment and drives immune ...

CXCL9 contributes to antimicrobial protection of the gut during citrobacter rodentium infection independent of chemokine-receptor signaling. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS Pathogens, 2015
Chemokines have been shown to be effective bactericidal molecules against a variety of bacteria and fungi in vitro. These direct antimicrobial effects are independent of their chemotactic activities involving immunological receptors.

PANX2 Suppresses Lung Adenocarcinoma Progression by Inducing Disulfidptosis and Enhancing Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) remains a leading cause of cancer mortality with limited therapeutic options. Disulfidptosis, a novel cell death modality driven by disulfide stress, represents a promising target, yet its regulation in LUAD is poorly defined. Here, we identify Pannexin 2 (PANX2) as a tumor suppressor in LUAD.

CXCL9 and CXCL10 are differentially associated with systemic organ involvement and pulmonary disease severity in sarcoidosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
BackgroundSarcoidosis is a granulomatous inflammatory disease with limited blood markers to predict outcomes. The interferon-gamma (IFN-γ)-inducible chemotactic cytokines (chemokines), CXCL9 and CXCL10, are both increased in sarcoidosis patients, yet ...
