Auer Rod‐Like Inclusions in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Auer rod‐like inclusions may occasionally be observed in chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Their recognition on peripheral smear highlights the importance of meticulous morphology assessment when comprehensive hematologic testing cannot be performed.

Vildagliptin and Omarigliptin Differentially Bind to DPP‐4 Homodimers and Modulate Osteoclast‐Mediated Bone Resorption

open access: yesComprehensive Physiology, Volume 16, Issue 1, February 2026.
Vildagliptin and omarigliptin, dipeptidyl peptidase‐4 (DPP‐4) inhibitors, have differential effects on bone cells. Although vildagliptin improved the bone microstructure of high‐fat diet‐fed rats, it was unable to downregulate osteoclastogenesis or the expression of key osteoclast transcripts.

Genetic variants underlying precancerous conditions of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 158, Issue 3, Page 488-502, 1 February 2026.
Abstract Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common form of liver cancer, accounting for 80% of cases worldwide. While chronic hepatitis B and C infections remain primary risk factors, emerging evidence highlights the increasing contributions of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and alcohol‐associated liver disease
