Cyclin D1 represses p300 transactivation through a cyclin-dependent kinase-independent mechanism [PDF]
Cyclin D1 encodes a regulatory subunit, which with its cyclin-dependent kinase (Cdk)-binding partner forms a holoenzyme that phosphorylates and inactivates the retinoblastoma protein.

Cyclin D1 is a NF-κB corepressor
NF-κB regulates the expression of Cyclin D1 (CD1), while RAC3 is an NF-κB coactivator that enhances its transcriptional activity. In this work, we investigated the regulatory role of CD1 on NF-κB activity. We found that CD1 inhibits NF-κB transcriptional activity through a corepressor function that can be reverted by over-expressing RAC3.

ABSTRACT Since 2019, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) has been associated with increased risks of preterm birth and placental complications. We prospectively investigated alterations in microRNAs (miRNAs) and cytokines in placental and amniotic tissues from pregnant women with and without COVID‐19 to evaluate the infection's impact on pregnancy ...

Cyclin D1 is one of downstream target genes of Kaiso. [PDF]
(A) Western blot analyses show the increased expression of Kaiso in A549 cells transfected with Kaiso cDNA. Kaiso overexpression remarkably down-regulated the expression of cyclin D1 (p = 0.000) and cyclin E (p = 0.003).

Cyclin D1 Represses Gluconeogenesis via Inhibition of the Transcriptional Coactivator PGC1α
Hepatic gluconeogenesis is crucial to maintain normal blood glucose during periods of nutrient deprivation. Gluconeogenesis is controlled at multiple levels by a variety of signal transduction and transcriptional pathways. However, dysregulation of these
