Escape from Flatland: Stereoselective Synthesis of Hexa‐aryl Borazines and their sp²‐Based 3D Architectures

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Accepted Article.
Borazine and its derivatives can be considered critical doping units for engineering hybrid C(sp2)‐based molecules with tailored optoelectronic properties. Herein, we report the first synthesis of hexaarylborazines that, bearing ortho‐substituted aryl moieties, extend three‐dimensionally.

Diamond Chemistry: Advances and Perspectives

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Accepted Article.
Diamond as a material has many unique properties. More recently, diamond has emerged as a material with a wide range of applications in chemistry and biology. The high intrinsic stability of diamond, coupled with the ability to modify diamond surfaces with a wide range of species via highly stable covalent linkages, provides a wealth of opportunity to ...

Imaging of the calcium activated potassium channel 3.1 (KCa3.1) in vivo using a senicapoc‐derived positron emission tomography tracer

open access: yesArchiv der Pharmazie, Volume 355, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
The 18F‐labeled derivative [18F]3 of senicapoc was synthesized using the prosthetic group approach with 1‐azido‐2‐[18F]fluoroethane ([18F]6) in a “click” reaction. The biological activity of the new positron emission tomography tracer was evaluated in vitro and in vivo.

Enantiomerically Enriched Aziridine‐2‐carboxylates via Copper‐Catalyzed Reductive Kinetic Resolution of 2H‐Azirines

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Accepted Article.
We present the first reductive kinetic resolution of racemic 2H‐azirines to prepare optically enriched N‐H aziridine‐2‐carboxylates, which are bench stable and easily diversifiable building blocks, concomitantly with the corresponding enantiomerically enriched 2H‐azirines. The N‐H aziridines were obtained with excellent diastereoselectivity (>20:1) and
