Field Trials of Low‐Cost Bi‐TiO2‐P25 Solar Photo Catalyst for Water Treatment
Journey of a low‐cost and easy to synthesize catalyst from development to validation in laboratory, followed by testing for its ability to reduce total coliform and E. Coli in the real‐world water using solar light in rural India. Abstract A low‐cost, easy to make Bi‐TiO2‐P25 composite is synthesized via a reverse micelle sol‐gel route and is tested ...

1,5-Induction in reactions between 2-alkoxy-(2-tributylstannylethylidene)cyclohexanes and aldehydes
2-Methoxy(2-tributylstannylethylidene)cyclohexane 16 undergoes stereoselective transmetalation on treatment with tin(IV) chloride to generate the allyltin trichloride 19 which reacts with aldehydes to give the (Z)-(3-hydroxyalkylidene)-2 ...

Mesoscale solubilization and critical phenomena in binary and quasi binary solutions of hydrotropes [PDF]
Hydrotropes are substances consisting of amphiphilic molecules that are too small to self assemble in equilibrium structures in aqueous solutions, but can form dynamic molecular clusters H bonded with water molecules. Some hydrotropes, such as low molecular weight alcohols and amines, can solubilize hydrophobic compounds in aqueous solutions at a ...

Experiments and Modeling of the Autoignition of Methyl-Cyclohexane at High Pressure [PDF]
The autoignition delays of mixtures of methyl-cyclohexane (MCH), oxygen, nitrogen, and argon have been studied in a heated rapid compression machine under the conditions $P_C$ = 50 bar, $T_C$ = 690 - 910K. Three different mixture compositions were studied, with equivalence ratios ranging from $\phi$ = 0.5 - 1.5.
