The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

Homohalocyclization: Electrophilic Bromine-Induced Cyclizations of Cyclopropanes
An efficient method for the halocyclization of cyclopropanes has been developed. The cyclopropanes undergo a 1,3-addition reaction to form homohalocyclization products compared to conventional alkene halocyclizations.

Synthesis of organic liquid crystals containing selectively fluorinated cyclopropanes
This paper describes the synthesis of a series of organic liquid crystals (LCs) containing selectively fluorinated cyclopropanes at their termini. The syntheses used difluorocarbene additions to olefin precursors, an approach which proved straightforward

ABSTRACT Endogenous H2O2 participated in the ethylene‐dependent ripening and senescence process of horticultural fruit as a secondary messenger; however, the molecular mechanism beneath such a phenomenon has not been fully clarified until recently. By a conjoint analysis of metabolite, enzyme activities, gene expression profiles in AsA‐GSH cycle of ...

Allylation of Donor−Acceptor Cyclopropanes
Direct allylation of glycal-derived donor−acceptor cyclopropanes has been achieved with TiCl4 activation followed by addition of allyltrimethylsilane. The α diastereomer is the major product, with selectivities ranging from 3:1 to 10:1 and yields around ...
