Myeloablative Busulfan, Fludarabine and Melphalan Conditioning for Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Childhood Myeloid Malignancy

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Clinical Oncology, EarlyView.
We report our single‐center experience of transplant outcomes with a busulfan, fludarabine and melphalan‐based conditioning regimen for children < 18 years of age. The regimen was shown to be well tolerated and effective for heavily pretreated children with high‐risk myeloid malignancies prior to allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant.

Cyclophilin and Viruses: Cyclophilin as a Cofactor for Viral Infection and Possible Anti-Viral Target

open access: yesDrug Target Insights, 2007
Cyclophilin (CyP) is a peptidyl prolyl cis/trans isomerase, catalyzing the cis-trans isomerization of proline residues in proteins. CyP plays key roles in several different aspects of cellular physiology including the immune response, transcription ...

Absorption kinetics of cyclosporin in the rat

open access: yes, 1992
Cyclosporin was administered (6 mg kg−1, i.v.) over 15 min, or (10 mg kg−1) by gavage, to two groups of 5 rats. Following i.v. infusion, cyclosporin exhibited triphasic behaviour with mean ± s.e.m. disposition half-lives of 9·0 ± 1·3 min, 4·0 ± 0·5 h and

Dupilumab's Real‐World Efficacy and Safety Across Age Groups for Children and Adolescents With Paediatric Atopic Dermatitis

open access: yesAustralasian Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Dupilumab is an anti‐interleukin (IL)‐4 receptor (IL‐4Rα) monoclonal antibody used to manage atopic dermatitis (AD). Cyclosporin A in psoriasis [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Although a large therapeutic arsenal of conventional drugs is available to treat patients with psoriasis, a group of patients still exists that fulfill the inherent exclusion criteria or present with subjective or objective side-effects.

Cyclophilins as Modulators of Viral Replication

open access: yesViruses, 2013
Cyclophilins are peptidyl‐prolyl cis/trans isomerases important in the proper folding of certain proteins. Mounting evidence supports varied roles of cyclophilins, either positive or negative, in the life cycles of diverse viruses, but the nature and ...

Feasibility and outcomes of kidney transplantation in patients with end‐stage kidney disease after haemopoietic stem cell transplantation

open access: yesInternal Medicine Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Advances in haemopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) have improved long‐term survival, but they have also led to late complications, such as nephropathy. However, the safety and feasibility of kidney transplantation (KT) in patients with HSCT‐related end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD) remain unclear.
