Gene Expression and Protein Abundance of Hepatic Drug Metabolizing Enzymes in Liver Pathology
Hepatic drug metabolizing enzymes (DMEs) markedly affect drug pharmacokinetics. Because liver diseases may alter enzymatic function and in turn drug handling and clinical efficacy, we investigated DMEs expression in dependence on liver pathology and ...

The Impact of CYP1A2 and CYP2E1 Genes Polymorphism on Theophylline Response
Theophylline is a medicine with narrow therapeutic index. This implies that a small change in dosage would cause side effects. Theophylline is metabolized by CYP1A2 and CYP2E1. The aim of this review is to know the impact of CYP1A2 and CYP2E1 genes polymorphism on theophylline response.

Pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD) remains highly lethal with limited treatment options. This study demonstrates that coixenolide, a bioactive compound from Coix lacryma‐jobi L. and a key component of the clinically approved Kanglaite injection, exhibits enhanced antitumor efficacy in high‐fat diet (HFD)‐induced obese mice bearing PAAD tumors compared to

Nrf2−/− regulated lung DNA demethylation and CYP2E1 DNA methylation under PM2.5 exposure
Cytochrome P450 (CYP450) can mediate fine particulate matter (PM2.5) exposure leading to lung injury. Nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) can regulate CYP450 expression; however, the mechanism by which Nrf2−/− (KO) regulates CYP450 expression via ...

Subcellular expression of CYP2E1 in HepG2 cells impacts response to free oleic and palmitic acid
Aims: Cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1) is a mammalian monooxygenase expressed at high levels in the liver that metabolizes low molecular weight pollutants and drugs, as well as endogenous fatty acids and ketones.

Mechanism of hepatoprotective action of methionine and composition “Metovitan” against a background of antituberculosis drugs administration to rats [PDF]
Oral administration of antituberculosis drugs to rats for 60 days in doses that are equivalent to clinical ones, causes changes in mRNA levels expression of liver cytochrome P-450 isoforms CYP3A2, CYP2C23, CYP2E1 and pro- and antioxidant state ...

Rab1A Promotes Hepatic Steatosis by Suppressing Mitophagy via the Raf‐1/ERK1/2/PINK1 Signaling Axis
Why does fat accumulate in the liver? Our study reveals Rab1A as the molecular switch that silences the cell's mitochondrial cleanup crew. Turning Rab1A off reactivates mitophagy, clears excess fat, and reverses fatty liver disease in mice—offering a promising new therapeutic target for MASLD, a growing global health challenge.
