The Cladosporium fulvum Avr2 protein behaves both as a virulence and an avirulence factor

open access: yes, 2010
Plants are not able to move or escape and have to confront environmental challenges like nutrient and water deprivation, low and high temperatures, and biotic stress imposed by pathogens like viruses, bacteria, fungi, nematodes and insects that all ...

Spatial Cell Death and Oxidative Stress Dynamics in Gas Plasma‐Treated Tumor Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
Schematic representation of the four experimental models to study tissue penetration and oxidation. Four tissue models were used. Human pancreatic cancer cells were grown on the chorioallantois membrane of chicken embryos and gas plasma‐treated in ovo, murine colorectal tumor tissue was gas plasma‐exposed ex vivo, murine squamous cell carcinoma cells ...

Identification of Cysteine Proteinase Inhibitor (Cystatin; CPI) in mungbean (Vigna radiata[L.] wilczek) = 녹두에서의 Cysteine proteinase inhibitor 탐색

open access: yes, 2002
A major insect-pest of mungbean, Coleoptera is reported to utilize aspartic and cysteine proteinases for digestion rather than serine proteases such as trypsin.

Human Leukocyte Elastase Triggered Nanoparticles for Targeted Antimicrobial Delivery and Oral Microbial Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
This study explores enzyme‐responsive nanoparticles for targeted antimicrobial release in inflamed oral environments. Nanoparticles formed by complexing peptides and chlorhexidine respond to human leukocyte elastase and release chlorhexidine selectively. P7 (ECAAPVCE)‐based formulations show optimal properties and stability, with antimicrobial activity

Identification and mRNA expression level of Cysteine Proteinase Inhibitor (Cystatin; CPI) in mungbean (Vigna radiata L. wilczek) = 녹두에서 Cysteine proteinase inhibitor의 확인과 mRNA 발현양 분석

open access: yes, 2002

Comparison of Receptor‐Mediated Endocytosis and Its Application to Enhance DNA Transfection by TFAMoplex

open access: yesAdvanced NanoBiomed Research, EarlyView.
We developed an assay to distinguish cellular binding from internalization. Compatible with microscopy and high‐throughput screening, the method identifies ligand‐mediated uptake. Applying top candidates to a protein‐based DNA carrier enhanced transfection efficiency, providing a rational strategy to improve non‐viral gene delivery systems.
