Cytochalasins inhibit nuclei-induced actin polymerization by blocking filament elongation. [PDF]

open access: bronzeJournal of Cell Biology, 1980
Polylysine was found to induce polymerization of muscle actin in a low ionic strength buffer containing 0.4 mM MgCl2. The rate of induced polymerization was dependent on the amount and on the molecular size of the polylysine added.

New polyketides from the liquid culture of Diaporthe breyniae sp. nov. (Diaporthales, Diaporthaceae) [PDF]

open access: yesMycoKeys, 2022
During the course of a study on the biodiversity of endophytes from Cameroon, a fungal strain was isolated. A multigene phylogenetic inference using five DNA loci revealed that this strain represents an undescribed species of Diaporthe, which is ...

Six Unprecedented Cytochalasin Derivatives from the Potato Endophytic Fungus Xylaria curta E10 and Their Cytotoxicity

open access: yesPharmaceuticals, 2023
Six previously undescribed cytochalasins, Curtachalasins X1–X6 (1–6), together with six known compounds (7–12) were isolated from the endophytic fungus Xylaria curta E10 harbored in the plant Solanum tuberosum.

Diversely Functionalised Cytochalasins through Mutasynthesis and Semi‐Synthesis

open access: yesChemistry, 2020
Mutasynthesis of pyrichalasin H from Magnaporthe grisea NI980 yielded a series of unprecedented 4′‐substituted cytochalasin analogues in titres as high as the wild‐type system (≈60 mg L−1).
