Acupuncture improved depressive behavior by regulating expression of hippocampal apoptosisrelated factors in psychological stress-induced depression rats

open access: yes针刺研究, 2019
Objective To investigate the effect of acupuncture on behavior changes and the expression of reactive oxygen species(ROS),cytochrome C,cysteine-containing aspartate-specific proteases-3(caspase-3),apoptosis inducing factor(AIF)in the hippocampus of rats ...

Protective Effect of Demethylation Treatment on Cigarette Smoke Extract–Induced Mouse Emphysema Model

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2013
In the present study, we explored the effects of demethylation in a cigarette smoke extract (CSE)-induced mouse emphysema model. Animals were randomly assigned to the control group, CSE group, 5-aza-2′-deoxycytidine (AZA) group, and CSE+AZA group (n = 10

Functional and structural studies on the Atmungsferment Cytochrome c oxidase from Paracoccus denitrificans

open access: yes, 2011
Cytochrome c oxidase (CcO), also called Complex IV of the aerobic respiratory chain, is located in the plasma membrane of prokaryotes and in the inner mitochondrial membrane of eukaryotes.

Oral Bioinspired Peroxisome‐Engineered Probiotics for Modulating Gut Microbiota Homeostasis and Alleviating Cardiac Chemotherapy Toxicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed an oral bioinspired peroxisome‐engineered probiotic (BPEP) by anchoring lipid‐encapsulated ruthenium nanozymes onto Escherichia coli Nissle 1917, utilizing probiotics to deliver nanozymes to the intestinal barrier for reactive oxygen species/reactive nitrogen species elimination, tight junction restoration, and gut microbiota ...

The Effect of Nalidixic Acid Group Compounds on Reduction of Cytochrome c from Horse Heart and Candida krusei [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of General Microbiology, 1978
Reduction of cytochrome c from both horse heart and Candida krusei by FeSO4 has been demonstrated. This reaction was stimulated by nalidixic acid and structurally related compounds, and the effect was more pronounced for the yeast cytochrome. Divalent metal ions other than Fe2+ lessened or abolished the stimulation by these compounds.

The electron transport chains of Neisseria meningitidis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Neisseria meningitidis contains c-type and b-type cytochromes. Oxidation of c-type and b-type cytochromes by oxygen was observed in both cells grown under aerobic and denitrifying conditions, whereas oxidation of cytochromes by nitrite was only seen in ...

Immunohistochemical localization of cytochrome c.

open access: yes, 2013
(A & B) Sections of ovaries and uterus of control rats show a minimal degree of cytochrome c expression. (C & D) Sections of ovaries and uterus treated with sodium selenite (0.5 mg/kg) alone show a minimal degree of cytochrome c expression.

eQTL Meta‐Analysis Reveals Conserved and Population‐Specific Regulatory Variation Underlying Nutritional Trait Evolution and Domestication in Tomato

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A comprehensive meta‐analysis of expression quantitative trait loci (eQTLs) across five diverse tomato populations reveals a high‐resolution atlas of transcriptional regulation and uncovers conserved and population‐specific regulatory architectures underlying fruit nutritional quality traits, including flavonoids, sugars, organic acids, carotenoids ...
