Background NPL4 is an important cofactor of the valosin-containing protein (VCP)–NPL4–UFD1 complex. The VCP–NPL4–UFD1 has been considered as a ubiquitin proteasome system (UPS) regulator and response to protein degradation.

Cyclin D1 protein expression in mantle cell lymphoma
The t(11;14)(q13;q32) is a chromosomal abnormality usually associated with mantle cell (centrocytic) lymphomas, although it has occasionally been reported in other chronic lymphoproliferative disorders such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia, prolymphocytic leukemia, splenic lymphoma with villous lymphocytes, and multiple myeloma. This abnormality results

Requirement of protein kinase D1 for pathological cardiac remodeling [PDF]
The adult heart responds to biomechanical stress and neurohormonal signaling by hypertrophic growth, accompanied by fibrosis, diminished pump function, and activation of a fetal gene program. Class II histone deacetylases (HDACs) suppress stress-dependent remodeling of the heart via their association with the MEF2 transcription factor, an ...

Over‐expression of cyclin D1 regulates Cdk4 protein synthesis [PDF]
Abstract. Increased Cdk4 expression occurs coincident with over‐expression of cyclin D1 in many human tumours and tumourigenic mouse models. Here, we investigate both in vivo and in vitro the mechanism by which Cdk4 expression is regulated in the context of cyclin D1 over‐expression.

The promyelocytic leukemia (PML) protein suppresses cyclin D1 protein production by altering the nuclear cytoplasmic distribution of cyclin D1 mRNA [PDF]
The majority of the promyelocytic leukemia (PML) protein is present in nuclear bodies which are altered in several pathogenic conditions including acute promyelocytic leukemia. PML nuclear bodies are found in nearly all cells yet their function remains unknown.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Retrotransposons account for a large proportion of the genome and genomic variation, and play key roles in creating novel genes and diversifying the genome in many eukaryotic species. Although retrotransposons are abundant in plants, their roles had been

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Expression of p16 protein and cyclin d1 in periampullary carcinomas [PDF]
The majority of the tumors in periampullary region are pancreatic and ampulla of Vater carcinomas. The aim of this study was to compare histopathological features of ampulla of Vater carcinomas with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas and to determine diagnostic and predictive values of p16 protein and cyclin D1 expression.Tissue samples from pancreatic ...
