We have studied the copper sites in three cryogenic electron‐microscopy structures of particulate methane monooxygenase with quantum refinement. We show that the CuA, CuC and CuD sites are correctly modelled and that the CuB site is mononuclear in all structures, whereas we find no support for copper in the suggested trinuclear active site or two sites

Protected Collateral Value: An Approach to Valuation of Commercial Properties for Loan Guarantees
The valuation of commercial properties for the guarantee of loans is extremely relevant for financial institutions, since it directly impacts the calculation of the loan to value ratio (LTV).

Symmetry breaking and restoration for interacting scalar and gauge fields in Lifshitz type theories
We consider the one-loop effective potential at zero and finite temperature in field theories with anisotropic space-time scaling, with critical exponent $z=2$, including both scalar and gauge fields.

Calculating and plotting FSC curves on a uniform scale in inverse cubic resolution (Å−3) has several useful features.Similarity between two periodic functions is commonly assessed by comparing their Fourier coefficients within resolution shells. In particular, this approach is widely used in both crystallography and cryo‐electron microscopy (cryoEM ...

Estimation of the Utility Function of Money and Housing Based on the Cumulative Prospect Theory
This article addresses the issue of the utility of money and the utility of housing with a value equivalent to that amount of money. The literature provides many reports on the shape of the utility function for money, but much less research has been ...

Optimal Insurance: Dual Utility, Random Losses and Adverse Selection
We study a generalization of the classical monopoly insurance problem under adverse selection (see Stiglitz 1977) where we allow for a random distribution of losses, possibly correlated with the agent’s risk parameter that is private information.

Two crystallographic fragment screening campaigns against SARS‐CoV‐2 nonstructural protein 1 resulted in the identification of 21 new hits.Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) continues to threaten global health. This underpins the need for novel therapeutics against this virus.

Previous work has shown that preferences are not always stable across time, but surprisingly little is known about the reasons for this instability. I examine whether variation in people's emotions over time predicts changes in risk attitudes.

Using small‐angle neutron scattering (SANS) with deuterated lipid substitution and contrast variation, this work examines the core–shell structure of KC2 lipid nanoparticles, their water content and exchange properties, structural changes during heating and acidification, and compositional distribution and phase complexity via invariant analysis. These
