Weakening laws of rock mass properties in blasting excavation damage zone of high rock slopes

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2020
The weakening of rock mass properties caused by blasting excavation has an adverse effect on slope stability. The Hoek-Brown (H-B) criterion is one of the effective approaches to quickly estimate the mechanical properties of the damaged rock mass.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Analiza stabilităţii arborilor la acţiunea vântului prin metoda cuplurilor uniforme [The analisys of tree stability at the wind action by uniform couples method] [PDF]

open access: yesBucovina Forestieră, 2001
A new method is used for evaluation of the stability of tree against the wind and to testing the theoretical stability models. The base principle of the uniform couple method is the relative identical environment conditions (site, stand and airflow ...

Emergency Survey and Stability Analysis of a Rainfall-Induced Soil-Rock Mixture Landslide at Chongqing City, China

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2021
The stability analysis of damaged landslides and unstable debris is important for rescue work and emergency operations. This paper investigates a predisposed geological emergence, inducing the factors and deformation processes of the Zhongbao landslide ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Monitoring Earthquake-Damaged Vegetation after the 2008 Wenchuan Earthquake in the Mountainous River Basins, Dujiangyan County

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2015
The 2008 Wenchuan earthquake destroyed large areas of vegetation in the Baisha River and Longxi River basins, in Dujiangyan County, China. There were several debris flow events in these mountainous river basins after 2008.

A Comparative Study of SSA-BPNN, SSA-ENN, and SSA-SVR Models for Predicting the Thickness of an Excavation Damaged Zone around the Roadway in Rock

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
Due to the disturbance effect of excavation, the original stress is redistributed, resulting in an excavation damaged zone around the roadway. It is significant to predict the thickness of an excavation damaged zone because it directly affects the ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Contact damage in an yttria stabilized zirconia: Implications

open access: yesJournal of Materials Science: Materials in Medicine, 2007
This paper presents the results of a combined experimental and computational study of contact damage in a 3 mole% yttria partially stabilized zirconia (3-YSZ) that is relevant to hip implants and dental restorations. Contact-induced loading in real applications is idealized using Hertzian contact model to explain plasticity phenomena and failure ...
