Dynamical Instability in Boolean Networks as a Percolation Problem

open access: yes, 2012
Boolean networks, widely used to model gene regulation, exhibit a phase transition between regimes in which small perturbations either die out or grow exponentially.

Time domain modeling and simulation of warship flooding process based on counter-flooding activities

open access: yesZhongguo Jianchuan Yanjiu, 2022
ObjectivesWarship damage flooding is an interactive process between progressive flooding and counter-flooding measures under battle-damaged conditions. Traditional damage stability theory cannot simulate the influence of counter-flooding measures on the ...

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

The Influence of the Flooding Damaged Compartment on the Metacentric Height Ship Type 888 [PDF]

open access: yesTransNav, 2010
Research on damage stability and unsinkability is a valuable source of knowledge of behaving a ship while flooding its compartments. In the paper, a short description of accidents and damages of Polish warships taking place in 1985-2004 is presented. The

Stress redistribution in flat damaged trusses [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
An important problem of modern engineering is to ensure the stability of buildings to a progressive collapse. One of the options for making calculations is to perform a static calculation with the use of the dynamic coefficient.
