Durable Etched Silicon Powder‐Supported Palladium Catalyst for Continuous Flow Hydrogenation and Reductive Alkylation

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, EarlyView.
Etched silicon powder‐supported Pd is developed as a durable and efficient catalyst for continuous flow hydrogenation and reductive alkylation. This study develops a novel heterogeneous palladium catalyst immobilized on etched silicon powder, demonstrating high efficiency and long‐term stability under continuous flow conditions.

Unveiling the Decarboxylation of a Malonic Acid‐Containing Macrocycle at Acidic pH: Implications and Applications of an Overlooked Phenomenon

open access: yesChemPlusChem, EarlyView.
A malonic acid‐containing macrocycle is observed to spontaneously undergo decarboxylation in water at mildly to strongly acidic pH and at room temperature. This phenomenon has significant implications for its use in aqueous solution within various areas of chemistry, like complexation of metals.

Synthesis of New N,N′‐Diarylureas and Their Theoretical Study as Cannabinoid‐1 Receptor Inhibitors

open access: yesChemPlusChem, EarlyView.
A series of new pyrazolo‐ and triazolo‐based N,N′‐diarylureas is synthesized following the triphosgene protocol in the last step. Density functional theory calculations and molecular docking provide strong evidence that all new compounds bind strongly to the cannabinoid‐1 (CB‐1) receptor, showing comparable results with the known allosteric CB‐1 ...
