Gadolinium Doped Strontium Cerate Prepared by Citric-Nitrate Auto-Combustion Process and Intermediate Temperature Electrical Properties of Its Composite Electrolyte

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2017
In this work, SrCe0.9Gd0.1O3-α electrolyte was prepared by a citric-nitrate auto-combustion (CNA) method using Gd2O3, HNO3, Sr(NO3)2, (NH4)2Ce(NO3)6 and citric acid as raw materials and subsequently compounded with NaCl/KCl.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Poverty and Environmental Degradation: Searching for Theoretical Linkages [PDF]

open access: yes
Existing literature about poverty and environmental degradation suggests that poverty is the victim of environmental degradation, but could not conclude whether poverty is also the cause of environmental problems.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Degradation of MRCVS

open access: yesVeterinary Record, 2019
IN the distant past when I graduated and hence was accepted as MRCVS, I immediately went into practice. This was quite legal and appropriate. I later moved out of conventional practice but I continued doing jobs for which MRCVS was obligatory; and I was employed to be consulted on veterinary issues.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Biodegradation of the Alkaline Cellulose Degradation Products Generated during Radioactive Waste Disposal.

open access: yes, 2014
The anoxic, alkaline hydrolysis of cellulosic materials generates a range of cellulose degradation products (CDP) including α and β forms of isosaccharinic acid (ISA) and is expected to occur in radioactive waste disposal sites receiving intermediate ...
