The in vitro plasticity of hair follicle dermal and mesenchymal stem cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Stem cells from the hair follicle are an easily accessible population of cells that have a broad in vitro developmental capabilities and potential for autologous replacement of damaged adult tissue.

Gene Expression in Hair Follicle Dermal Papilla Cells after Treatment with Stanozolol

open access: yes, 2009
Doping with anabolic agents is a topic in sports where strength is crucial, e.g. sprinting, weight lifting and many more. Testosterone and its functional analogs are the drugs of choice taken as pills, creams, tape or injections to increase muscle mass ...

Interference of ATP‐Binding Cassette Transporter by Functional Nano‐Delivery System for High Efficiency Management of Insecticide‐Resistant Nilaparvata lugens

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A ZIF‐90 nanocarrier delivers dinotefuran and suppresses NlABCG3 and NlABCH1 in resistant Nilaparvata lugens. This system combines pH/ATP‐triggered release with enhanced foliar retention, improving efficacy while sparing honeybees and promoting rice growth, offering a promising resistance‐breaking strategy.

Upcycled Postbiotic Cell-Free Supernatants from Limosilactobacillus fermentum MG901 and MG4237 Alleviated Oxidative Stress-Induced Dysfunction in Human Follicle Dermal Papilla Cells

open access: yesCosmetics
Oxidative stress–induced dysfunction of hair follicle dermal papilla cells (HFDPCs) is a key factor in the progression of hair loss. In this study, upcycled postbiotic cell-free supernatants (CFSs), derived from Limosilactobacillus fermentum (L ...

Hair follicle germinative epidermal cells: a molecular study [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
At the base of the hair follicle epidermal matrix is a population of germinative epidermal (GE) cells that is in close communication with the dermal papilla.

Single‐Cell Profiling Reveals a Protective WNT5A‐ATF3‐FOSB Signaling Axis in Hair Follicle Stem Cells During Androgenetic Alopecia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a common form of hair loss with limited treatment options. Silencing of WNT5A signaling, which is widely known as the trigger of the ncWNT signaling pathway, happens in hair follicle stem cells from balding areas. It leads to downregulation of ATF3 and its target FOSB.

K15 & Id3 expression in intact and regenerating adult vibrissae rodent hair follicles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The hair follicle can renew itself through an intrinsic stem cell population and has the ability to undergo hair follicle growth cycle; its regenerative activities under normal and experimental conditions together with a feature of easy access make it an

Improved Method for the Isolation and Cultivation of Human Scalp Dermal Papilla Cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
We present an improved method for the isolation and cultivation of human scalp anagen hair follicle dermal papilla cells. Following treatment of the isolated dermal papilla with collagenase, incubation in Chang's medium mediates accelerated growth of the

A Bioinspired, Multimodal Soft Tactile Skin with Task‐Adaptive Perception for Intelligent Robotic Manipulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Perception in robotic manipulation improves through the cooperative and complementary operation of biologically inspired multimodal tactile sensors. Receptor‐specific contribution analysis identifies which sensing modalities are required for specific tactile tasks.

Multimodal label-free imaging of living dermal equivalents including dermal papilla cells

open access: yesStem Cell Research & Therapy, 2018
Background Despite the significant progress in the development of skin equivalents (SEs), the problem of noninvasively assessing the quality of the cell components and the collagen structure of living SEs both before and after transplantation remains ...
