METTL14 Regulates Myocardial Infarction Progression via m6A‐Dependent Modulation of OTUD1‐Mediated Deubiquitination of DUSP6

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, Volume 42, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Myocardial infarction (MI) is the most severe clinical manifestation of coronary artery diseases (CVD) and serves as a critical driver of sudden cardiac death and heart failure (HF). Its pathophysiology begins with the abrupt cessation of coronary blood flow, leading to severe ischemia and subsequent cardiomyocyte necrosis. This study aimed to

Usp49 And H2B Deubiquitination In Chromatin And Cellular Function [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Histones are globular proteins which help package and organize DNA in the eukaryotic nucleus. The four core histones, H2A, H2B, H3 and H4, combine with approximately 146 base pairs of DNA to form a nucleosome, the fundamental unit of chromatin.

Metabolism in Tumor: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Perspectives

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2026.
Tumor metabolic reprogramming converges on three hubs—the SREBP1/2–FASN–SCD1 lipogenic axis, the HIF‐1α–GLUT1–LDHA glycolytic axis, and the LDLR–SCARB1–LXR cholesterol system—which integrate transcriptional, epigenetic (histone lactylation, m6A), and microenvironmental inputs to generate metabolic plasticity, immune evasion, and therapy resistance ...

METTL14‐Mediated N6‐Methyladenosine Exacerbates Acute Lung Injury via USP30/NCOA4‐Dependent Ferroptosis

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2026.
METTL14‐mediated N6‐methyladenosine aggravates ischemia/reperfusion‐induced acute lung injury by enhancing YTHDF1‐dependent USP30 expression. USP30 stabilizes NCOA4 through deubiquitination, thereby promoting ferritinophagy, iron accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and ferroptosis in lung epithelial cells.

High‐Content CRISPR Screening: Methods and Applications

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2026.
High‐content CRISPR screening represents a paradigm shift in functional genomics, moving beyond traditional survival‐based readouts to enable multidimensional mapping of genotype–phenotype relationships. This review systematically outlines the methodological evolution of this approach, detailing advances in perturbation modalities, delivery systems ...

The Emerging Role of UCHL1 in Neurological and Musculoskeletal Diseases

open access: yesImmunology &Cell Biology, Volume 104, Issue 8, Page 783-793, September 2026.
UCHL1‐associated pathology. The pathological role of UCHL1 in multisystem diseases, including cancer, neurological, musculoskeletal and cardiovascular disorders. ABSTRACT Ubiquitin C‐terminal hydrolase L1 (UCHL1) is a highly conserved deubiquitinating enzyme that has transitioned from being viewed as a “brain‐specific” protein to a global regulator of ...

SFRP2 Potentiates Metastasis of Colon Cancer by Enhancing Snai1 Protein Stability via USP11

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 17, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Metastatic colon cancer remains a significant clinical challenge, often associated with poor patient prognosis. Recent studies have identified the secreted frizzled‐related protein 2 (SFRP2) as a key player in this malignancy, showing its overexpression in metastatic cases.
