Interaction of dextran sulfate with low-density lipoproteins of plasma
The interaction between dextran sulfate and low-density lipoproteins of the Sf 0–10 class in phosphate buffer of pH 7.4 and ionic strength 0.1 was studied by means of analytical ultracentrifugation.

Fabrication of hydroxyapatite sponges by dextran sulphate/amino acid templating [PDF]
We report a new template-directed method for the fabrication of hydroxyapatite (HAp) sponges by using amino-acid-coated HAp nanoparticles dispersed within a viscous polysaccharide (dextran sulfate) matrix, and describe the use of these materials for the ...

Longitudinal Plasmonic Detection of Glucose Using Gold Nanorods
Gold nanorod-based affinity sensors were developed utilizing concanavalin-A/dextran/glucose chemistry to detect glucose. The gold nanorods, synthesized using the seed-mediated method, were first coated with dextran sulfate.

Dextran sulfate activates contact system and mediates arterial hypotension via B2 kinin receptors [PDF]
To define some of the mechanisms underlying dextran sulfate (DXS)-induced hypotension, we investigated the effects of either the plasma kallikrein inhibitor des-Pro2-[Arg15] aprotinin (BAY x 4620) or the specific bradykinin B2-receptor antagonist Hoe-140

Anti-AIDS Virus Activity in vitro of Dextran Sulfates Obtained by Sulfation of Synthetic and Natural Dextrans [PDF]
Anti-AIDS virus activity of synthetic and natural dextran sulfates was assayed in vitro by using a MT-4 cell line. These dextran sulfates with the number average molecular weight (Mn) of 1.8×104−10.7×104 showed potent anti-AIDS virus activity in the concentration as low as 3.3 or 10 μg ml−1, respectively.
