Low‐Dimensional Materials and Van Der Waals Heterostructures for Energy Application: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Low‐dimensional materials (0D, 1D, and 2D) exhibit unique electronic and physicochemical properties, enabling advanced nanoelectronic and optoelectronic devices. Mixed‐dimensional heterostructures combine these materials to enhance functionality.

Recommendations for regulating phosphorus from livestock operations in Manitoba

open access: yes, 2019
The primary concern surrounding phosphorus in Manitoba is the eutrophication of waterways and water bodies and in particular, Lake Winnipeg. While there are many sources of phosphorus - natural and man-made, a particular concern exists related to the ...

Potential of Bee Pollen as a Nutraceutical And/Or Functional Ingredient for Metabolic Syndrome Management: In Vitro Antioxidant, Anti‐Inflammatory, and Digestive Enzyme Inhibitory Activities

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
Bee pollen samples from China and Spain exhibited in vitro antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and digestive enzyme inhibitory activities due to their composition, suggesting their potential as a nutraceutical or functional ingredient to help counteract oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, and metabolic disorders.

Available phosphorus requirement of juvenile Asian red-tailed catfish (Hemibagrus wyckioides)

open access: yesAquaculture Reports
This study explored the optimal dietary available phosphorus (P) requirement for juvenile Asian red-tailed catfish (Hemibagrus wyckioides). Five isonitrogenous (42.00 %) and isolipidic (9.00 %) diets with monocalcium phosphate supplementation levels of 0.

Phosphorus dynamics in the swale - Ouse River system [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
A study was made of the phosphorus ecology of the Swale - Ouse river in northern England. It ranges from a stream draining a peat moorland to a mature river influenced by urbanisation (estimated population 250 000) and intensive agriculture.

Association of dietary phosphorus intake and phosphorus to protein ratio with mortality in hemodialysis patients [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Background and objectives: Epidemiologic studies show an association between higher predialysis serum phosphorus and increased death risk in maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients.

Studies on the Nutritional, Functional, Textural, and Sensory Characteristics of Finger and Barnyard Millet‐Incorporated Nuggets

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
The graphic illustrates the development of nuggets traditionally known as “wari” prepared with whole green grams and composite flour barnyard millet var. (PRJ‐1) and finger millet var. (VL‐M‐380) in a 1:1 ratio. The addition of millet significantly improved the nutritional value of nuggets, providing higher levels of protein, carbohydrates, fiber ...

Nutraceutical Benefits of Anchomanes difformis Rhizome and Its Effects on Blood Glucose and Hepatorenal Function in Normoglycemic Rats

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
Scientific analysis of Anchomanes difformis roots confirms significant nutraceutical potential, containing high levels of carbohydrates, proteins, and essential minerals. Phytochemical screening revealed antioxidants such as phenols and flavonoids, and although the extracts effectively lowered plasma glucose, safety testing showed dose‐dependent risks.

An introduction to the study of phosphorus dynamics in Rondevlei [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
Bibliography: leaves 120-134.Phosphorus is one of the most important nutrients in aquatic environments because of the role that it plays in eutrophication. Increased amounts of phosphorus stimulate excessive growth of nuisance plants, which have negative

The adaptability of Hy-Line Brown laying hens to low-phosphorus diets supplemented with phytase

open access: yesPoultry Science, 2020
Body phosphorus homeostasis network allows laying hens to adapt to wide range of changes in dietary phosphorus levels. Phytase hydrolyzes phytate rendering phosphorus and reduces the laying hens' requirements for inorganic phosphate rock.
