Organ toxicity of diethylnitrosamine and capsaicin in mice – in vivo study
Diethylnitrosamine (DEN) is proven to be toxic to kidneys and liver and to act as a potent carcinogen mainly in liver. Capsaicin (CAP) is an alkaloid produced by Capsicum genus plants and is considered to be a protective agent against toxicity and ...

Sorafenib Alleviates Inflammatory Signaling of Tumor Microenvironment in Precancerous Lung Injuries
According to population-based studies, lung cancer is the prominent reason for cancer-related mortality worldwide in males and is also rising in females at an alarming rate. Sorafenib (SOR), which is approved for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma

Newcastle and Doxorubicin attenuated against diethylnitrosoamine as anti-proliferative and immunosuppresor effects which induced hepatocellular carcinoma [PDF]
Doxorubicin is a broad spectrum antitumor antibiotic. Newcastle disease virus (NDV ) is one such virus with an inherent oncolytic property. This study was done to investigate the antitumor effects of Doxorubicin and NDV on Diethylnitrosamine (DEN ...

Ellagic acid could prevent experimentally induced oxidative stress in rats [PDF]
Aim: Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are produced during the metabolism of diethylnitrosamine (DEN) and phenobarbital (PB). Ellagic acid (EA) is a natural biologically active polyphenol with antioxidant activity.

Redox regulation meets metabolism: targeting PRDX2 to prevent hepatocellular carcinoma. [PDF]
PRDX2 acts as a central redox hub linking metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis (MASH) to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In normal hepatocytes, PRDX2 maintains redox balance and metabolic homeostasis under oxidative stress. In contrast, during malignant transformation, PRDX2 promotes oncogenic signaling, stemness, and tumor initiation ...

Sequential analysis of diethylnitrosamine-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in rats
In the present study, we examined the sequential changes of diethylnitrosamine (DEN)-induced hepatocarcinogenesis in Wistar rats. After 14 weeks of DEN treatment, hyperplastic nodules developed as a consequence of the appearance of renewed hepatocytes, degenerated hepatocytes, oval cells and fibrotic changes.
