Effect of Diethylnitrosamine on Monoamine Oxidase in Rat Liver
The effect of diethylnitrosamine (DEN), a well-known experimental carcinogen, toward MAO-A and MAO-B activity of rat liver was investigated. The oxidations of both beta-PEA (MAO-B) and 5-HT (MAO-A) were inhibited by DEN. The K1 values of DEN in the inhibition of rat liver MAO-A and MAO-B activity were determined.

Obesity is a chronic, relapsing, multisystem disease in which cardiometabolic risk arises from excess adiposity and progressive dysfunction of peripheral organs, ultimately disrupting endocrine and metabolic crosstalk among tissues. Within this network, sulphur‐based biology, centred on hydrogen sulphide and related reactive sulphur species, has ...

IGF2BP1‐mediated m6A stabilization sustains SMC1A expression, enabling cohesin‐associated chromatin regulation of Nestin in hepatocellular carcinoma. This work reveals an epitranscriptomic‐chromatin‐cytoskeletal regulatory axis linked to malignant phenotypes and identifies SMC1A as a biologically relevant vulnerability in HCC.

Goniothalamin (GTN) exerts anticancer effects by promoting reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, glutathione (GSH) depletion, DNA damage, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction. These interconnected events trigger apoptosis, necroptosis, anoikis, and autophagy, while modulating mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK ...

Graphical representation of the probable mechanisms underlying the effect of RUPA on CISP‐evoked hepatotoxicity in rats. ABSTRACT Despite cisplatin (CISP) is broadly employed in cancer therapy, its adverse effects, involving hepatotoxicity, restrict its clinical usage.
