Differential Hybrid Games [PDF]
This article introducesdifferential hybrid games, which combine differential games with hybrid games. In both kinds of games, two players interact with continuous dynamics. The difference is that hybrid games also provide all the features of hybrid systems and discrete games, but only deterministic differential equations.

A differential game analysis of multi-regional coalition for transboundary pollution problems
Basin water pollution control problem has become a real and serious challenge to build an environment-friendly and resource-conserving society. Since the water environment is quasi-public property, regional cooperation across upstream and downstream ...

Coordinating Carbon Emissions via Production Quantities: A Differential Game Approach
Production emissions in the industrial sector are a major source of environmental pollution. In this paper, we explore how emission considerations are integrated with production decisions. We develop a dynamic model consisting of two firms located in the

Compounding the Losses of Convoyed Ships Attacked by Tactical Submarines [PDF]
It is demonstrated that a time dependent stochastic model for the losses of convoyed ships attacked by submarines can be applied in the determination of the losses in terms of the results of two submodels:

The Cost of Work Discrimination: A Market Capture Differential Game Model
Discrimination in the workplace can be a source of opportunity costs for firms that desire to enter a new market. In this article, we model how an exogenous technological change introduces both new potential workers in the labor market and, as the ...

Incomplete Information Pursuit-Evasion Game Control for a Space Non-Cooperative Target
Aiming to solve the optimal control problem for the pursuit-evasion game with a space non-cooperative target under the condition of incomplete information, a new method degenerating the game into a strong tracking problem is proposed, where the unknown ...

Resource Exploitation in a Stochastic Horizon under Two Parametric Interpretations
This work presents a two-player extraction game where the random terminal times follow (different) heavy-tailed distributions which are not necessarily compactly supported.

Two Hierarchical Guidance Laws of Pursuer in Orbital Pursuit–Evasion–Defense Game
In this study, differential game theory was applied to propose two guidance laws of a pursuer in an orbit pursuit–evasion–defense game. One was a conservative guidance law of maneuvering to absolute safety before pursuing the evader, and the other was a ...

HIV vs. the Immune System: A Differential Game
A differential game is formulated in order to model the interaction between the immune system and the HIV virus. One player is represented by the immune system of a patient subject to a therapeutic treatment and the other player is the HIV virus. The aim
