Gradient-Based Algorithms With Intermediate Observations in Static and Differential Games

open access: yesIEEE Access
In two-player static and differential games, strategic players often use available or delayed information about the other player’s decisions and solve an optimization or optimal control problem to determine their strategic choices.

Advertising in a Differential Oligopoly Game [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 2003
We illustrate a differential oligopoly game where firms compete à la Cournot in homogeneous goods in the market phase, and invest in advertising activities aimed at increasing consumers’ reservation price. Such investments produce external effects, characterizing the advertising activity as a public good.

A survey on the recent development of securing the networked control systems

open access: yesSystems Science & Control Engineering, 2019
Recent years witness an ever-increasing research interest in the study of securing the Networked Control Systems due mainly to the trend of integrating the advanced communication technical into the traditional control system.

Price and Treatment Decisions in Epidemics: A Differential Game Approach

open access: yesMathematics, 2018
We consider a pharmaceutical company that sells a drug that is useful in the treatment of an infectious disease. A public authority buys the drug to heal at least a portion of the infected population.

Misperception of Body Weight After Childhood Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Misperception of body weight can negatively impact the weight management efforts of childhood cancer survivors (CCSs). Both being overweight or underweight are associated with chronic health conditions commonly observed in CCS; therefore, accurate weight perception is critical for reducing long‐term health risks.

Differential Games and Zubov's Method [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2011
In this paper we provide generalizations of Zubov's equation to differential games without Isaacs' condition. We show that both generalizations of Zubov's equation (which we call min-max and max-min Zubov equation, respectively) possess unique viscosity solutions which characterize the respective controllability domains.

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

Inverse Stackelberg Solutions for Games with Many Followers

open access: yesMathematics, 2018
The paper is devoted to inverse Stackelberg games with many players. We consider both static and differential games. The main assumption of the paper is the compactness of the strategy sets. We obtain the characterization of inverse Stackelberg solutions
