The Gut–Heart Axis in Systemic Sclerosis: Evidence From a Large Prospective Early Disease Cohort
Objective Cardiac involvement significantly impacts prognosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc), highlighting the need for early risk stratification. Gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms are common and often manifest early. Emerging data suggest a link between GI and cardiac manifestations, possibly through shared mechanisms like dysautonomia.

Plasma metabolites as biomarkers for screening and differential diagnosis of lung cancer
Currently, there is a lack of satisfactory biomarkers for lung cancer screening and differential diagnosis. Metabolomics can detect the differences of metabolites in different pathological states, which may be helpful in the identification of lung cancer.Patients with pulmonary nodules were divided into two groups: benign pulmonary nodules (BPN) and ...

Establishment of bidirectional communication behavior between natural and artificial cells. The first type of communication from natural dendritic cells to artificial polymeric cells was achieved via ATP release after cell lysis. The released ATP was taken up via gated UV‐controlled permeability increase of the polymeric membrane for performing ...

Fiber‐Based Wearable Electronics as Adaptive Biointerfaces for Healthcare Applications
Fiber‐based wearable electronics have been extensively studied as adaptive healthcare biointerfaces. In this review, we classify and introduce fiber‐based systems according to biointerface design, conductive materials, transduction mechanisms, and healthcare applications, and provide a perspective on their translation toward reliable, continuous ...

Measuring Blood Plasma Glutamine Levels Using a Nanopore‐Based Sensor
Glutamine (GLN) is a biomarker useful for predicting toxic ammonia accumulation. Here, we used a biosensor based on the Cytolysin A (ClyA) nanopore coupled with the GLN‐specific protein substrate‐binding domain 2 (SBD2) to demonstrate real‐time measurement of GLN in blood plasma, highlighting the potential for future point‐of‐care applications ...
