Detection of common pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis and atherosclerosis via microarray data analysis

open access: yesHeliyon
Despite extensive research reveal rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is related to atherosclerosis (AS), common pathogenesis between these two diseases still needs to be explored. In current study, we explored the common pathogenesis between rheumatoid arthritis (

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Integrative bioinformatics analysis identifies ubiquitin-related genes and their regulatory networks in hepatoblastoma

open access: yesDiscover Oncology
Background Hepatoblastoma (HB), the most common pediatric liver malignancy, poses significant challenges in early diagnosis and treatment. To identify ubiquitin-related genes (UbRGs) and signaling pathways involved in HB progression, we analyzed HB ...

Liquid biopsy‐based diagnostic evaluation of hypermethylated CpG sites for ovarian cancer diagnosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This schematic outlines the workflow from biomarker identification to duplex MethyLight assay validation for epithelial ovarian cancer diagnosis using cfDNA‐based liquid biopsy. Initial screening of hypermethylated CpG candidates (cg02957270, cg10061138 cg00480298, COL2A1) was performed in tissue using ARMS‐PCR, COBRA, qPCR and image analysis. Selected

Detection of differentially expressed genes.

open access: yes, 2012
The plot (left) shows the log fold change (y-axis) vs. log relative concentration (x-axis) for the cercariae – 3-hour schistosomula comparison. A total of 1,518 genes are differentially expressed between these two life cycles stages (adjusted p ...

Bioinformatics analysis of the association between obesity and gastric cancer

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics
BackgroundObesity and gastric cancer (GC) are prevalent diseases worldwide. In particular, the number of patients with obesity is increasing annually, while the incidence and mortality rates of GC are ranked high. Consequently, these conditions seriously

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.
