Enzymatic synthesis of cytidine diphosphate diglyceride

open access: hybridJournal of Lipid Research, 1966
Evidence is presented for the enzymatic formation of cytidine diphosphate diglyceride in microsomal preparations from guinea pig liver according to the reaction: CTP + phosphatidic acid right harpoon over left harpoon CDP-diglyceride + p-O-P. Conditions have been found in which the incorporation of labeled CTP into CDP-diglyceride is almost entirely ...

The effect of mono-diglycerides on the mechanical properties, microstructure and physical stability of an edible rice bran wax -- gelatin biphasic gel system

open access: yesJournal of the American Oil Chemists Society, 2022
Bigels, are prepared by homogenization of an organogel and hydrogel. Bigels can offer improved properties when compared to other gelled systems due to its semi-solid internal phase and supramolecular interactions between components. The objective of this

Carboxylesterase 2 proteins are efficient diglyceride and monoglyceride lipases possibly implicated in metabolic disease

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2021
Carboxylesterase 2 (CES2/Ces2) proteins exert established roles in (pro)drug metabolism. Recently, human and murine CES2/Ces2c have been discovered as triglyceride (TG) hydrolases implicated in the development of obesity and fatty liver disease.

Degradation of monogalactosyl diglyceride and diagalactosyl diglyceride by sheep pancreatic enzymes [PDF]

open access: yesBiochemical Journal, 1974
1. Saline extract of sheep pancreas acetone-dried powder was shown to catalyse acyl ester hydrolysis of spinach leaf galactosyl diglycerides and also galactosylglucosyl diglyceride of Lactobacillus casei. 2. Sodium deoxycholate stimulated the enzyme activity.

Essential lipid autacoids rewire mitochondrial energy efficiency in metabolic dysfunction‐associated fatty liver disease

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Increased liver content of DHA‐derived small lipid autacoids (i.e resolvin D1 and maresin 1) associates with enhanced mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, fatty acid β‐oxidation and bioenergetic metabolic flux. These features provide hepatic protection from steatotic, pro‐inflammatory and fibrogenic insults.

Effect of the Formation of Diglycerides/Monoglycerides on the Kinetic Curve in Oil Transesterification with Methanol Catalyzed by Calcium Oxide

open access: yesACS Omega, 2020
Many researchers reported that a sigmoid kinetic curve was obtained in oil transesterification with methanol catalyzed by CaO and gave different explanations for this formation.
