Homoleptic Bismuth Alkynes: Isolable Reagents for Selective Alkynyl Radical Transfer
The first series of fully characterized homoleptic alkynyl bismuth compounds Bi(C≡CR)3 is presented. Facile homolytic Bi–C bond cleavage grants access to alkynyl radicals, which have been employed in selective C–X bond formation (X = C, B, Se, Te). This complements existing strategies for alkynyl radical generation as it proceeds under mild and purely ...

A Para‐Selective Kolbe–Schmitt Reaction
Discovered over 150 years ago, the Kolbe–Schmitt carboxylation has established itself as one of the most well‐known chemical reactions. However, the process often requires extreme pressures and high temperatures. Here, we present a unique para‐selective Kolbe–Schmitt‐type carboxylation that proceeds at relatively low temperatures and uses near ...

Reversible Dihydrogen Splitting and Diradical Reactivity of 1,4‐Digermabenzene‐1,4‐diide
The diradical reactivity of the 1,4‐digermabenzene‐1,4‐diide, [(ADC)Ge]2, has been demonstrated with a range of substrates. Notably, it undergoes reversible dihydrogen splitting and radical coupling with TEMPO (2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidinyloxyl = RO), forming [(ADC)GeH]2 and [(ADC)Ge(OR)]2, respectively.

Electrochemical Regioselective Chalcogenocyclizations of 2‐Alkynylbenzamides in Flow
A sustainable electrochemical method enables regioselective 6‐endo‐dig chalcogeno‐cyclizations of ortho‐alkynylbenzamides in continuous flow. Using diphenyl diselenide as an electroactive coupling partner, the process avoids metals and stoichiometric oxidants, offering scalable access to selenium‐containing heterocycles.
