Disturbance Observer-Based Frequency Regulation for Shipboard Microgrid With Communication Delay

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Load frequency control of power systems is inherently a disturbance rejection issue. This paper proposes a disturbance observer-based frequency regulation approach for a shipboard microgrid system with communication delay.

MIMO nonlinear PID predictive controller [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
A class of nonlinear generalised predictive controllers (NGPC) is derived for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) nonlinear systems with offset or steady-state response error.

A new functional observer to estimate velocity, acceleration and disturbance for motion control systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper presents a novel functional observer which can observe the velocity, acceleration and disturbance information of a motion control system with higher accuracy and less noise in comparison to classical observers.

Disturbance-Observer-Based Control and Related Methods—An Overview

open access: yesIEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2016
Disturbance-observer-based control (DOBC) and related methods have been researched and applied in various industrial sectors in the last four decades. This survey, at first time, gives a systematic and comprehensive tutorial and summary on the existing ...

Composite control method of DC motor based on speed feedback

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2013
In view of problems of slow response speed and bad anti-disturbance ability existed in traditional control system of DC motor, the paper proposed a composite double-loop control method of DC motor based on disturbance observer and speed observer.

Simple disturbance observer for disturbance compensation

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2010
Disturbance observer (DOB) without using additional sensors is an attractive method to attenuate the effects of disturbances as they are highly cost effective. This study proposes a simple form of DOBs, which does not need to solve the plant model inverse, and uses H∞ control method to design the Q-filter in the DOB.

Delay compensation for nonlinear teleoperators using predictor observers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper presents a delay compensation technique for nonlinear teleoperators by developing a predictor type sliding mode observer (SMO) that estimates future states of the slave operator. Predicted states are then used in control formulation.

Equivalence of disturbance observer structures for linear systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Several techniques exist to incorporate disturbance rejection requirements in a linear controller design. Contrary to, for example the H-infinity controller design technique where only one degree of freedom is available to obtain both disturbance ...
