Disturbance Observer-Based Robot End Constant Contact Force-Tracking Control

open access: yesComplexity, 2019
A disturbance observer-based hybrid sliding mode impedance control method is proposed in this paper, which is able to achieve robot end constant contact force-tracking control without force/torque sensors.

Disturbance observer control method in SGMSCMG

open access: yesProceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science, 2014
To restrain disturbances produced by parameter variations and external disturbances in axial magnetic bearing in the application of single-gimbal magnetically suspended control moment gyro (SGMSCMG), a disturbance observer control method is proposed, which integrated [Formula: see text] controller and disturbance observer.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Sensorless torque estimation in multidegree-of-freedom flexible systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper presents a sensorless torque estimation algorithm for multidegree-of-freedom flexible systems. The proposed algorithm makes it possible to estimate externally applied torques due to flexible system s interaction with the environment without ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Observer synthesis for the T-S fuzzy system with uncertainty and output disturbance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
[[abstract]]The paper proposes a novel fuzzy observer synthesis for the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy system with uncertainty and output disturbance. First, an augmented fuzzy model is built by integrating the system state and the output disturbance into a ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Backstepping Control with Disturbance Observer for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2018
For the speed tracking control problem of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM), a disturbance observer-based (DOB) backstepping speed tracking control method is presented in this paper.
