Uncovering Cystic Fibrosis Carrier: Insights From a Heterozygous CFTR‐F508del Rabbit Model
ABSTRACT Background Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) is a heterogeneous inflammatory disorder frequently associated with impaired mucociliary clearance and bacterial infection. Individuals carrying a single cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) mutation exhibit partial CFTR dysfunction and are increasingly recognized as being at risk ...

Thymus vulgaris essential oil (TvEO), largely composed of thymol, showed strong bactericidal activity with Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) being most sensitive. TvEO markedly inhibited MRSA biofilm formation and significantly reduced established biofilms. Molecular docking suggests several TvEO components interact with proteins involved in S.

Exploration of the Substrate Diversity of the Amine Transaminase 3FCR‐4M and its Engineered Variants
We evaluated combinatorial variants of the engineered amine transaminase 3FCR‐4M in both kinetic resolution and asymmetric synthesis. This dual assessment revealed a striking discrepancy between high kinetic resolution activity and low asymmetric synthesis conversion, reflecting the inherent kinetic favorability of the deamination half‐reaction and ...

Intranasal PenArg achieved broad brain delivery and improved mitochondrial function in a UQCRC1‐mutant Parkinson's disease model. Chronic treatment preserved dopaminergic neurons, improved motor performance, reduced neuroinflammatory and systemic inflammatory responses, and attenuated skeletal muscle pathology.

ABSTRACT Drug‐resistant bacteria such as Methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Quinolone‐resistant S. aureus (QRSA), are a growing problem, creating a need for the development of novel antimicrobial agents. In this study, we designed and synthesized two novel 1,4‐naphthoquinone derivatives, LHN‐1034 and LHN‐1035, and evaluated their ...

Methotrexate (MTX) altered oxidative stress parameters, reduced Nrf2 and HO‐1 protein expression, increased intrinsic apoptosis‐associated protein markers, and decreased cell viability in OVCAR‐3 cells. Antioxidant co‐treatment partially modulated these protein responses and oxidative stress parameters.
