Cytoplasmic Localization of the DNA Virus Frog Erythrocytic Virus

open access: yesIntervirology, 1992
In situ hybridization, using a biotinylated clone of frog erythrocytic virus (FEV), was conducted to determine the location of viral sequences in bullfrog erythrocytes. FEV-specific hybridization signals were found to correspond to mature cytoplasmic viral particles and assembly sites. These data are consistent with electron microscopic observations of

Acute Infection and Subsequent Subclinical Reactivation of Herpes Simplex Virus 2 after Vaginal Inoculation of Rhesus Macaques. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Herpes simplex virus 2 (HSV-2) is a common sexually transmitted infection with a highly variable clinical course. Many infections quickly become subclinical, with episodes of spontaneous virus reactivation.

Diagnostic Dilemma for Low Viremia with Significant Fibrosis; is Hepatitis B Virus DNA Threshold Level a Good Indicator for Predicting Liver Damage?

open access: yesBalkan Medical Journal, 2018
Background: The most important difficulties about management of hepatitis B are still determining the liver damage and the right time to start antiviral therapy.

Expression of Sindbis virus structural proteins via recombinant vaccinia virus: synthesis, processing, and incorporation into mature Sindbis virions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
We have obtained a vaccinia virus recombinant which contains a complete cDNA copy of the 26S RNA of Sindbis virus within the thymidine kinase gene of the vaccinia virus genome.
